The Sixers were founded in 1946 as the Syracuse Nationals. They moved to Philadelphia in 1963, and have won two titles since moving to Philly. The 1966-67 team, led by Wilt Chamberlain and Hal Greer, is considered one of the best ever, finishing with a record of 68-13 and winning the NBA Title over the Golden State Warriors. Led by Dr. J and Moses Malone, the Sixers won an NBA title again in 1983. Before the playoffs began that year, a reporter asked Malone what his prediction was for the playoffs. He responded, "Fo' Fo' Fo'". He was one game off, as they won 12 out of 13 playoff games to win the title. Since then, they've been best known for their two enigmatic superstars, Charles Barkley and Allen Iverson, and despite not winning the title, fans in Philadelphia will always have a spot in their heart for the 2000-2001 Sixers. Today, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey lead the team to perennial playoff appearances. Browse all 76ers products or our best sellers.
