In honor of the store's 10th anniversary, a new beer has been created by South Philly brewery Second District Brewing.
It is a light crushable beer with a clean malt profile and a light blend of American and European hops for a gentle character with a nice crisp bite in the finish. At 4% abv, it's the perfect pre-game ale!
"We wanted this to be the style of beer people drink in the parking lot before the big game," says Shibe co-owner and local barfly Johnny Goodtimes.
As for the cans, Shibe is utilizing long-time collaborator and Philly artist Jon Billett to design them.
"The goal was to create a can that looks like the kind of thing local baseball fans would have ordered at Shibe Park in the 1950s and '60s," says Billett.
