This Philadelphia Stars Negro National League t-shirt is inspired by a pennant from their era.
The Stars were founded in 1933, and played in Philadelphia's West Parkside neighborhood, at the Pennsylvania Railroad YMCA Athletic Field at Belmont and Parkside Avenues. On Monday nights, they would often play at Shibe Park.
Led by lefthanded twirler Slim Jones, the team won the 1934 Negro National League championship. Their home games at that time were played on Passon Field, which today is the home field for West Philly High School.

Love the graphics, nice soft tshirt! I believe this was a Shibe original, so no where else can you get this exclusive tee! I have orders other Negro league Ts as well!
Great style and true to size.
The color combination is different but a great shirt & a great way to honor the Philadelphia Stars.
This shirt is a great homage to the players of the Philadelphia Stars and the Negro Leagues, who were unjustly denied the ability to play in MLB, but shined nonetheless. It's a great shirt, and people comment on it all the time.
