Pigment washed twill unstructured crown with curved brim and adjustable self-fabric backstrap. Die cut embroidery with cotton thread on front.

The Stars were founded in 1933, and played in Philadelphia's West Parkside neighborhood, at the Pennsylvania Railroad YMCA Athletic Field at Belmont and Parkside Avenues. On Monday nights, they would often play at Shibe Park.

Led by lefthanded twirler Slim Jones, the team won the 1934 Negro National League championship. Their home games at that time were played on Passon Field, which today is the home field for West Philly High School.

Philadelphia Stars Cap

Swinging for the fences! That is the Shibe way. This hat lands in the upper deck. Detail is key. The raised, stitched P logo takes you back to a bygone era. You can smell the popcorn and peanuts when you slide this cap on. Quality meets cool meets conversation piece. Superbly done.

Love the style and symbolism of wearing this cap. And happy to contribute to urban baseball programs, too. Paying it forward.
