The year was 1933...the place was old Baker Bowl...Many Hall-of-Famers came out to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Philadelphia Phillies, one of the oldest ML baseball franchises.  Greats include Chief Bender, Johnny Evers and the "Dutchman" Honus Wagner.  Former Phillies included Haans Lobert, Mike Doolan, Otto Knabe, Frank Bruggy & Charlie Dooin.  Note the great "Lifebuoy Soap...Ends B.O." sign on the old tin wall at Baker Bowl.  A wonderful piece of Photo-Americana.  Original silver-gelatin print. Edition limited to 4000.

This 11” x 14” photograph is hand printed from the original 4" X 5" vintage negative.  A full "archival print" process has been used, incorporating museum-quality acid free paper.  This time consuming and painstaking procedure ensures the finest quality and longest lasting image.  Each photograph is numbered and embossed with "The Bruce Murray Collection" name.  Each photograph is also accompanied by an "About the Artist" biography, a Background Story of the photograph and a Certificate of Authenticity individually signed by the grandson of the photographer.  The final print has been donated to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y., and is now part of their permanent collection.
