Our Nation’s duty to its Veterans is undeniable. Operation Hat Trick (OHT) was born out of that legacy and was initially created to help American Service Members return home more comfortably.
OHT’s initial business plan was to provide wounded Veterans with baseball caps so that they could cover up bandaging for head trauma. OHT would sell retailers 3 hats, sell only 2 and donate the third away to a recovering veteran. Founder Dot Sheehan, then shifted the focus by partnering with ‘47 Brand and creating OHT branded merchandise to be sold across the country. The proceeds are then used to support veterans and current service members.
Operation Hat Trick fills in the gaps that are not typically covered by by conventional organizations and government programs. Costs that are covered by generous donations and proceeds from OHT merchandise include: “adaptive equipment for amputees, service dogs, shoes for prosthetic legs, critical care, emergency rent, heating oil or car payments”. OHT has also built cabins for veteran summer camps, and the funding for sponsored hunting and fishing trips.
OHT's partnership with '47 Brand along with 330 universities and colleges, 135 high schools, 21 National Hockey League teams, 100+ Minor League Baseball teams, NASCAR, 100+ companies as well as private donations have made a difference in thousands of lives. OHT is dedicated to providing the funds to our war heroes for just about anything that they need to get on their feet and maintain the enjoyable lifestyle they deserve.
Here at Shibe Vintage Sports we firmly believe in this mission and the American duty to support our troops. That is why we carrying OHT American Flag hats. Please consider purchasing one of the hats or feel free to donate directly to Operation Hat Trick.
