Meet the Shibe Crew: Glenn MacPherson

When we opened the new store at the KOP Mall in 2019, we knew we needed someone with experience to take charge. We got that with Glenn MacPherson, who for many years ran the gift shop at the Adventure Aquarium. We were damn lucky to get him. Glenn's been a terrific addition to the team.

Where is your favorite place in the area to watch the big game?

Home with my family and friends if it is a REALLY big game but I did like the Field House at times too.

What are your favorite three shirts in the store and why?

Prism because I can remember when that was so important growing up in non cable Fairmount and I had a friend that had it and it is such a conversation starter when I wear that shirt

Spectrum Because some of my best sports AND concert moments were spent there. Flyers in the 80's...Bruce in the 80's...Duke/Kentucky NCAA game with Laettner buzzer beater...Bruce in the 90's...Sixers...Bruce in the 2000's...

Palestra How can it not be for someone born and raised in the neighborhoods of Philly? From City High School title games ( Gene Banks, Lonnie McFarland) to the Big Five this definitely speaks to the Philly basketball history.
