We're excited to announce that Flyers and Phillies reporter Sarah Baicker will be at Shibe Sports on July 25th at 6 p.m. Sarah will be discussing the 1920s barnstorming women's baseball team that played in Philly, the Bobbies (we'll also be unveiling our new Bobbies shirts). She'll also introduce us to pioneer Edith Houghton, the first female baseball scout, who got a job with the Phillies in 1946. And Sarah will talk a bit about her own career, and what it's like to be one of the few women in the locker room after NHL and MLB games.
Before Sarah's presentation, Suzanne Woods of Allagash is going to conduct a beer tasting with all who attend. We'll be trying Allagash White, Tripel, and Saison.
And we're excited to collaborate with Rad Girls on this event. They think Sarah is pretty rad, so they were happy to get on board and help us promote the event. Going to be a fun evening of beer, fashion, and baseball. Hope to see you there!
