On June 14, we were proud to participate in a Make-a- Wish event with Harry Merrill & Sons Jewelers (8th and Sansom Sts.) as part of the Jewelers for Children program. They hosted our new friend Gabriel and presented him with a trip to Paris, France for his wish to watch a professional soccer game. Gabriel stopped by the store and we chatted about his favorite European Club, Juventus, which is also a favorite of some of us at the store. He predicted that France international Paul Pogba will transfer to Manchester United during the off season. It’s looking like he may be right!
Here are some pictures from the fun day with Gabriel sporting some of our gear. He is wearing a Philadelphia Atoms shirt and a Philadelphia Fury knit hat, both former National American Soccer League (NASL) teams from the area. Folks from Philadelphia Union also stopped by and provided Gabriel with field level seats and pre-game passes to an upcoming game. We had cakes, laughs and lots of in-depth sports talk. We wish Gabriel a safe and fun trip to France!
